Lucius Q lives at the corner of Broadway and barbecue obsession. We're a Cincinnati pit-house where the smoker runs long before the doors open and the wood pile out back is taller than most of our regulars. Brisket gets a rub of salt and pepper - that's it - then rides the heat of oak and cherry until the bark is black and the inside is the color of a sunset.
Pulled pork, burnt ends, smoked turkey, dry-rub wings, five-cheese mac, collard greens with smoked turkey, and that brisket chili folks keep talking about - it's all built the same way. Hand-rubbed. Patient. Honest. We don't do shortcuts and we don't do apologies.
